Pretty In Pink Foundation saw a record turnout and raised a record amount at their signature fundraising event- the Pink Pumps and Bow Ties Gala! Hundreds showed up to Prestonwood Country Club on Saturday, October 21st — with the goal of raising much-needed money to financially assist uninsured and under-insured breast cancer patients with their life-saving medical treatments.
“This year’s event was simply incredible. We can’t thank the attendees enough for their generosity,” said Becky Horn, executive director of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “We raised more than $250,000 for our mission. That’s a record amount and will help pay for surgery, chemotherapy administration and radiation treatments for breast cancer patients in our state, who are battling this deadly disease right now.”
In 2022, Pretty In Pink Foundation served 408 Champions across North Carolina. The non-profit helps more and more patients every year. To date, Pretty In Pink has served breast cancer patients in 98 of the 100 North Carolina counties.
“We’ve seen an increase in applications this year. We’ve never had to turn anyone away and that’s our goal,” explained Horn. “This event ensures that we will continue serving every qualified applicant who comes to us.”
