Pretty In Pink Foundation is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of a generous $35,000 grant from the esteemed Big Rock Foundation. This significant contribution will empower the foundation in its mission to provide financial assistance to North Carolinians fighting breast cancer.
The Big Rock Foundation is the charitable arm of The Big Rock Tournaments, which includes The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, The Big Rock Keli Wagner Lady Angler Tournament and The Big Rock Kids Tournament. The Big Rock Foundation, known for its commitment to philanthropy and community impact, has chosen Pretty In Pink Foundation as one of the recipients of a high-impact community grant this year. This grant will fund life-saving medical treatment for about two dozen breast cancer patients in eastern North Carolina.
“We are deeply grateful to The Big Rock Foundation for this generous grant,” said Becky Horn, the executive director of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “Their support strengthens our ability to assist individuals during one of the most challenging times in their lives. This collaboration exemplifies the power of community partnerships in creating meaningful change.”
Pretty In Pink Foundation is one of several nonprofits to benefit from The Big Rock Foundation, which has given millions to charities over the years. The success of the fishing tournament allows the foundation to help so many charities.
“This gift is instrumental in allowing us to serve our mission,” explained Anna Sims, the patient services manager for Pretty In Pink. “The number of people who we serve increases every year and our applications for assistance have spiked recently. This grant will help us pay for surgery, chemotherapy administration, and radiation treatment for those vulnerable breast cancer patients in our state, who desperately need help battling this deadly disease.”
Pretty In Pink Foundation receives no state or federal funding and relies on their signature fundraising events, support from the community and grants to fulfill their mission.
