Pretty In Pink Foundation is honored to receive a $25,000 grant through the Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment, which is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. This generous gift will be used to serve breast cancer patients in the eastern part of North Carolina.
“We are so grateful to receive this lifesaving gift from the Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment, which is significant for our small nonprofit,” explained Becky Horn, the executive director of Pretty In Pink. “It will help pay for surgery, chemotherapy administration, and radiation treatment for vulnerable breast cancer patients in our state, who desperately need help battling this deadly disease.”
Pretty In Pink Foundation is one of several nonprofits to benefit from this competitive grant program, which supports organizations focusing on education, health and human services in eastern North Carolina.
“We are so thankful to be a recipient this year,” explained Anna Sims, the patient services manager for Pretty In Pink. “Our applications for assistance have increased. And as we help more and more breast cancer patients, this gift helps us accomplish our goal of serving every qualified applicant.”
Pretty In Pink Foundation receives no state or federal funding and relies on their signature fundraising events, support from the community and grants to fulfill their mission.
