Pretty In Pink Foundation is so grateful to once again receive a generous grant from Searstone Retirement Community and Lutheran Services Carolinas, which will help save lives. The $16,000 gift will help pay for medical treatment for elderly breast cancer patients in Wake County who need financial assistance.
“We’re so thankful to be one of the 14 organizations chosen to receive a grant from Searstone/Lutheran Services Carolinas and for their support of our mission,” said Becky Horn, executive director of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “This grant is one of the reasons we’re able to help so many elderly breast cancer patients every year.”
Pretty In Pink Foundation is so appreciative of Searstone/Lutheran Services Carolinas’ continuing support that offers this segment of our community a greater chance of survival. Specifically, these much-needed funds will help remove the financial barrier to care for elderly Wake County patients, paying for surgery, chemotherapy administration and radiation treatment.
“This generous gift helps to ensure that this vulnerable population gets the financial assistance they need to access lifesaving medical treatment for breast cancer,” said Dr. Lisa Tolnitch, founder of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “We are so grateful for Searstone/Lutheran Services Carolinas’ support for the elderly in our community.”
